Miyako Hotel
The Miyako Hotel is a new construction project located in Plano, Texas and is expected to be completed in 2026. This hotel launches Kintetsu Hotels’ brand as their first new location in the U.S., and targets an audience of the Toyota teams as well as North Texas business travelers with its location adjacent to the Toyota Global HQ within a mixed-use development. With a skillful mix of east meets west, this challenging site takes advantage of a vertical solution while applying traditional Japanese materials and installations in a modern, Texas way.
The specific requirements for room layouts stem from managing the fine line between western design aesthetics and Japanese sensibilities and traditions, utilizing careful negotiation and diplomacy to execute an elegant and thoughtful project, that blends Texas and Japanese aesthetics with cultural amenities.
