Park Square Market

Albuquerque, NM

Located in Uptown Albuquerque, Park Square Market transformed an aging 11,000 sf office building into a vibrant, refined food hall that serves as a new community hub. Featuring 10 diverse food vendors—from pizza and pho to smoothies and espresso—the market breathes new life into the Park Square complex.

A major challenge involved integrating Assembly occupancy into the existing structure, including creative code solutions to maintain egress while reimagining internal circulation. Following the food hall’s completion, the surrounding site underwent a series of upgrades, including outdoor seating, upgraded access drives, landscaping, lighting and refreshed adjacent buildings—all designed to unify the campus and improve pedestrian flow.

Designed with a more classic, refined aesthetic than typical industrial food halls, the project carefully balances public gathering with the needs of adjacent office tenants. The exterior plaza, connecting the two food hall spaces, serves both as a social destination and a key circulation route. The project was delivered in two phases—interior and exterior—requiring close coordination between contractors and the client. With improved access points and visual identity, Park Square Market repositions the complex as a mixed-use destination for visitors, employees, and the growing Uptown community.
