NM United Soccer Stadium Feasibility Study

Albuquerque, NM

FBT has a long history of supporting the New Mexico soccer community. Working initially to secure a stadium for the Albuquerque Sol FC after the team’s inaugural season, FBT conducted feasibility studies evaluating sites around the city for potential construction of a 5,000-seat soccer specific stadium.

When Albuquerque became home to New Mexico’s new USL Championship team, NM United FC, FBT began working with the new team on site selections and their suitability. To generate excitement for the team, FBT developed initial stadium renderings, graphics and a Virtual Reality (VR) presentation to reveal to the public at the team announcement event in 2018 and subsequent events.

FBT continues to meet with team management and the City about requirements to design and build a stadium. With soaring attendance at NM United games, it is clear that a 5,000-seat stadium is not sufficient. We have revisited several of the sites from our initial study along with new options to evaluate the feasibility of a 20,000 seat stadium.
