Hotel Palmetto

Charleston, SC

The Hotel Palmetto renovation transformed an existing 2-year-old hotel into a sophisticated 45 room boutique hotel, elevating a 3.5-star property into a true 5-star luxury experience with increased ADR and RevPAR goals accomplished for the Client. This included a full re-positioning/rebranding for the hotel, new management team, and a refreshed design narrative inspired by the Sabal Palmetto – the State tree of South Carolina- as well as the surrounding French Quarter environment. To address the challenges of the compact spaces, the team worked strategically towards maximizing space and function for all required elements for the hotel rooms and suites with thoughtful luxury detailing and coordination to ensure everything had a place in this premium destination on historic Bay Street. The Lobby and Lobby Bar reflects the eclectic and curated details of the narrative including Chippendale sofas, found objects from Charleston antique stores, all surrounded by rich hand finished palmetto green plaster walls.

Through the many scale and schedule challenges of this renovation, the team worked efficiently alongside a branding agency to inspire the Palmetto’s vision for a small but thoughtfully organized space in a beautiful, historic section of Charleston, SC.
