Albuquerque International Sunport Administrative Suite
The Aviation Department’s Administrative Suite at the Albuquerque Sunport needed a major overhaul to support the operational needs of a 21st Century workplace. The suite had not been renovated in 30 years and needed a redesign to align with current office uses and trends. It was also imperative to reflect the unique cultural and architectural heritage of the southwest and Sunport. FBT’s renovation enhanced efficiency, flexibility, security and comfort. Contemporary furniture and finishes mix natural tones and textures with bright details and vintage aviation photography.
The layout maximizes collaborative spaces including an employee lounge/kitchen with bistro-style seating and a living room for casual meetings. Privacy and sound control are integrated throughout with features including sound masking, acoustical wood ceiling panels, frosted glass partitions, an enclosed phone booth, divider screens and more. The new design incorporates transparent modular wall systems as well as new upgraded material finishes. The executive conference room table features extended leaves to accommodate various meeting formats with USB and electrical data plugins.
