Darleen Cabeza de Vaca
“The best part of my job is working with the client from project programming through to a final built environment that realizes not only their programmatic needs but reflects the heart and culture of the people inhabiting the space.”
Darleen has over 15 years of design, project management and construction administration experience with a variety of project types, partnering primarily with small communities throughout New Mexico. Her path to architecture is due to Brother Andrew, who was so concerned by the fact she was his worst typing student that he told Brother Abel if he didn’t let her into his drafting class she was doomed to work as a convenience store clerk. In her free time, Darleen enjoys working and wading in her backyard pond, spending time with her dog along the Bosque or working outside in her garden.
