Abby Kuchar

Landscape Designer

Born and raised in Albuquerque, Abby is thrilled to be back in New Mexico and working for Groundwork Studio. Her academic background weaves themes of art and design into the fields of ecology, ethnobotany and productive food spaces. After graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, she completed a year-long apprenticeship in rural Costa Rica, studying permaculture, natural building and restoration agriculture. Abby is currently pursuing her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico. She is eager to leverage her creative talents and multidisciplinary skills to create sustainable and accessible spaces that benefit all members of the community.

Outside of work and school, Abby loves gardening, cooking, knitting and experimenting with natural dyes.
