Park Square Market Opens, Fusing Community & Local Flavors

We had the opportunity to help design a mixed use complex by integrating a food hall into the existing office park, bringing new life to the location. While it came with its share of challenges, the resulting one-of-a-kind, upscale complex will be a destination for both office tenants and the community at large. The grand opening gave us an opportunity to truly see how the space will be utilized and share a moment of appreciation with all those who helped make the project a success.

FBT Architects was excited to celebrate the grand opening of the Park Square Market, a dynamic 6,432 DF food hub located at 6565 Americas Parkway in Uptown Albuquerque.

Park Square Market officially opened its doors Wednesday, serving as a newly renovated space that brings together a curated mix of local vendors, serving everything from early-morning coffee to late-night treats. It serves as more than just a place to eat – it is a thoughtfully designed gathering space that supports local businesses and celebrates community connection.

FBT provided full architectural services, followed by construction phase support for tenant improvements at both 6565 and 6521 Americas Parkway. The work included full demolition within both suites, construction of new restrooms at 6565 to support the dining area and the build-out of new bays for food service tenants. The design was developed to accommodate vendor flexibility – providing rough-ins for plumbing, lighting and ventilation while avoiding the need for kitchen equipment requiring exhaust hoods.

Additional improvements included reconfiguring the exit from the existing north stair to meet safety requirements and support the flow of the new layout.

It’s been a joy seeing this project come to life and we are thrilled to share this new space with the community and look forward to seeing Park Square Market thrive as a culinary and social anchor for Uptown Albuquerque.
