Growing up in Albuquerque and traveling around the country to visit family, Cody became fascinated by how different places could create entirely different experiences. That early awareness of architecture—how a building looks, feels and shapes the way people experience it—continues to influence his approach to design today.

Cody is especially drawn to visualization and rendering, using imagery to help clients step into a space before it’s built. For him, a successful rendering does more than show what a project will look like; it helps people understand the design, experience its possibilities and get excited about what’s to come. He finds that connection particularly rewarding in learning environments, where good design can have a lasting impact on students and their everyday experience.

Creativity follows Cody outside the studio as well. A musician and film photographer, he plays guitar, bass and saxophone—with a particular love for jazz—and is usually experimenting with a new creative medium.
