Sheraton Grand Phoenix Downtown

Phoenix, AZ

The Sheraton Grand Phoenix Downtown renovation served as the prototype execution for Sheraton’s new brand identity and design standards for the Americas. The existing 1,100-room convention hotel in downtown Phoenix was redesigned to reflect the local influence through the material and color palette, while displaying a universal design that could be applied to multiple properties across the country. This project was a true collaboration with Marriott to create the identity and Sheraton Brand touchstones for a significant hotel brand – while serving as an opportunity for them to tell their story and define their new legacy.

With the challenge of an aggressive schedule requiring dynamic designs and documentation for all project areas, a dedicated PM from Marriott was assigned to fully manage the project, coordinate with the consultant team, and push for schedule and budget alignment. A dedicated internal team of (5) worked on this project to maintain brand and schedule requirements, while delivering the rigorous deadlines with the Marriott’s PM and a local AOR, who provided support for the permitting scope of work.
