Youssef Elmergawy

Intern Architect

Youssef is an architect driven by a passion for creating spaces that deeply resonate and blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Growing up near the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria, Egypt, he was inspired by the Alexandria Library design and concept, which fueled his desire to pursue architecture. At FBT, Youssef is dedicated to designing impactful educational spaces that shape students’ experiences and respond to the cultural and environmental context. He also brings a thoughtful approach to architectural massing, schematic plans and material selection. While design is intertwined with his life outside of work, Youssef also enjoys sketching, calligraphy and playing soccer on weekends to unwind, reflect and stay grounded.
