UNM McKinnon Center named one of the 50 Most Beautiful Business Schools

The McKinnon Center for Management at the UNM Anderson School opened to the public in July, and will welcome students for the fall 2018 semester. FBT is proud to have this project included in the Top Management Degrees “50 Most Beautiful Business Schools,” recognizing not only the building’s aesthetics, but the importance of design excellence in learning environments.

Re-posted from Top Management Degrees “50 Most Beautiful Business Schools” — At the University of New Mexico business students will have the privilege of completing their degree in the state of the art McKinnon Center for Management, home to the School of Management. This $24.4 million facility will be [was] completed this year and offers many distinct features such as comfortable room spaces, experiential learning spaces, and collaborative and private study rooms. Classrooms are also designed with today’s students in mind and included modern technology, digitized lecture boards, and movable tables and chairs. Additionally, the building itself is designed to reduce energy uses and includes many windows to encourage natural light, as well as, modern heating and cooling systems which will cut energy usage in half.

The University of New Mexico is located just a mile east of downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The campus consist of 600 acres and serves over 26,000 students each year. The University was established in 1889 and has since grown to offer bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional degree programs in a wide variety of fields. Students interested in earning a business degree will apply to the Anderson School of Management and participate in classes held in the brand new McKinnon Center for Management. According to their website UNM’s business programs “are designed for students from a wide variety of backgrounds including the liberal arts, sciences, education, law, business and other fields.” Students earning their bachelor’s degree have an opportunity to earn a minor in Management, Entrepreneurship, or International Management. Those who are interested in continuing their education with a master’s degree in business also have several programs to choose from, including but not limited to, a traditional MBA and Executive MBA.
